A Valentines' themed aerial circus benefit for SLAM's Kids In Control Program. PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT the STREB Extreme Action Company performing!
This performance is a circus benefit performance in support of the SLAM Kids in Control (KIC) program in partnership with the Greenpoint YMCA sponsored by the Espana/STREB Flying Trapeze Academy and stars members of the Espana/STREB staff as well as student aerialists and professional circus and aerial performers from throughout the tri-state area!
The three Valentine-themed benefit shows will take place on:
Friday February 12th
11pm (adult only Cabaret/Burlesque show 18 and older).
Admission $22Saturday, February 13th
3pm (kid friendly)
Admission $10 Kids and $20 Adults 11pm (adult only Cabaret/Burlesque show 18 and older).
Admission $22 These Valentine-inspired shows combine the flavor of the season with aerial acts of wonder! There will be raffle prizes including a 50/50 drawing to boost the fund raising efforts for this great cause. Donation sheets will be available to help send a K.I.C. child to KID FLY for a semester. The shows will be live on Twitter with play by play "tweets" and "twitpics", as well as video clips featured on Ustream.com. Kids In Control (KIC) Center (ages 6-11)
Located at 224 Berry Street in Williamsburg, the KIC program is responsible for delivery of high-quality developmental care for children ages 6-11. We provide quality services that meet the needs of families and children in the community. Our primary focus is on the child. At KIC., the staff provides positive, values-based activities such as theater, role-plays, group discussions, arts & crafts, music, creative writing as well as sports, and recreation. Best of all, the children learn about themselves, their values and potential, while making friends and life-long memories there is no fee to participants and STREB charges no fee for their participation in this partnership. Donations in support of these benefit shows is very much appreciated, and contributes to the continuity of these important offerings to the community. We thank you for your continued support!
